Create and Link Add-On Services in Minutes

Easily offer extra services to customers by linking add-ons to your main bookings.

How to Create and Link an Add-On Service

This video demonstrates how to create an add-on service in Tailpro and link it to a main service so customers can select it as an optional extra during booking.

The process begins on the home screen, where the user taps the settings icon and navigates to “Manage Services and Time Slots.” From the services section, they select “Show All” and tap the plus button to open the create add-on service form.

In the form, the user enters a clear name and description for the add-on, ensuring customers understand what the extra service includes. The video then highlights the “Add-on Type” field, where the user chooses between two options:

  • Assignable service, used when a different staff member handles the add-on
  • Indicated privilege, used when the same staff member performs the add-on alongside the main service

Next, the user selects a time slot, which must match the time slot of the main service to ensure the add-on appears correctly during booking. The video also shows how to set the earliest completion time and define which roles can mark the task as complete.

The base price is then added, representing the extra cost customers will pay when selecting the add-on. The frequency setting is configured as “per day,” meaning the add-on can only be applied once per booking day.

The capacity type is selected next, allowing the user to either share capacity with the main service or define a fixed capacity specifically for the add-on. Additional fields such as availability, cancellation policy, and eligibility are completed similarly to main services. The user then saves the add-on.

To link the add-on, the user returns to the services list, selects a main service, and taps the edit option. Within the add-ons field, they choose the newly created add-on from a dropdown list and save the changes.

Once linked, the add-on becomes visible to customers as an optional extra when they book the main service. Multiple add-ons can be linked and displayed together, allowing customers to choose additional services as needed.
