How to Create a Customer Account in TailPro

This video demonstrates how an admin can create a new customer account directly within TailPro, enabling customers to access the app and start booking services.

It begins on the dashboard, where the admin navigates to the user management section by tapping the second icon from the right in the bottom menu. At the top of the screen, different tabs are visible, including pending requests, all staff, all customers, and all administrators. The admin selects “Show All” under the customers section to view the list of existing customers, with an option to toggle and view inactive users if needed.

To create a new customer, the admin taps the plus icon at the bottom right corner, which opens the create customer form.

At the top of the form, the admin has the option to upload a profile photo for the customer. They then enter the customer’s personal details, including first and last name, email address, gender, and phone number. The email address is essential, as it will be used by the customer to log in to the TailPro app.

Next, the admin fills in the customer’s address details, including address lines, city, postcode, and country. This information is particularly important for services such as home visits or pet pickups, as it will be visible to staff handling bookings.

The video then introduces the tags section, where customers can be grouped based on criteria such as membership level or location. If no tags have been created yet, this section may remain empty and can be updated later.

Before saving, the admin ensures that the active toggle is switched on. This step is crucial, as only active customers can log in and use the app.

Once all details are completed, the admin taps save, successfully creating the customer account. The video explains that the customer can then download the TailPro app and log in using their email address, receiving a one-time passcode for secure access instead of setting a password.

Finally, the admin instructs the customer to complete their pet profile within the app. After submission, the admin will review and approve or reject the pet details before the customer can begin making bookings.
